PÉROLA means “pearls” in Portuguese. The Latin word for pearl means “unique” because no two pearls are identical. This is because, unlike other gems, pearls are organic matter. Indonesian south sea pearls are considered the most coveted of all cultured pearl varieties due to their size and luster.

"I couldn't be happier with choosing the Ayana earrings for our wedding. I still wear them everyday, and I will definitely pass them on to our daughter in the future."
About the Brand
Mother-daughter duo, Rosa and Cindy, teamed up to design pearls for the modern woman, pieces that not only express a woman’s personal style, but can be passed down from generation to generation. All of our designs are “of-a-kind”; each piece is crafted by local Indonesian artisans and topped with hand-selected South Sea Pearls.
Exquisite South Sea Pearls
The Indonesian archipelago comprises more than 17,000 islands. Its warm, turquoise waters are home to the pinctada maxima, the world’s largest oyster. With larger oysters come larger pearls. Ranging between 9 to 16mm, Indonesian South Sea pearls are considered one of the grandest varieties of pearls in the world. But it’s not just their size that makes Indonesian South Sea pearls so special. These gems are also prized for the thickness of their core – better known as the nacre, which ultimately influences a pearl’s two most important quality attributes: luster and orient.
